LFS001 - Well-being at Work: Improving Working Styles and Performance
Occupational stress and well-being at work tends to be one of the most discussed areas in the field of work with entire academic and non-academic journals as well as organizations dedicated to understanding the phenomenon and to prevent it. It is generally assumed that stress costs organizations billions of dollars a year both directly (e.g. turnover) and indirectly (e.g. health benefit costs; reduced productivity) and improving well-being at work not only reduces corporate costs but also motivates people to go the extra mile. This programme examines the phenomenon of stress, well-being and positive organizational psychology from a very critical perspective to help weed out facts from myths; evidence from just opinion. It provides insights into the corporate wellness process and helps participants develop an informed opinion that can be used to support and help other colleagues in need.
