Biocare Academy-Make up offers the opportunity to work and study with top international make-up artists who will assess and conduct several make-up courses at Biocare Academy. Amongst these Michel Limongi, the well known French Make-Up Artist and cosmetic package designer and Paolo Guatelli the make-up artist behind Eva Garden Make-up , the make-up range prefered by Rai and famous tv personalities.

Biocare Academy – Make up will motivate and stimulate the student with the ultimate learning environment , hands -on and on-site experiences. This may in some cases involve very basic make-up for a special occasion, a fashion photo –shoot, or a TV presenter, through to more complex period make up. The student will learn to interpret the makeup requirements of individual clients and produce both creative and technically accurate visual representations. Biocare Academy, in collaboration, with other professionals will provide the student with the right tools and information, to be able to gain an understanding of lighting and colour in photography and digital , high definition media .

MKU001 - Basic Beauty Course

The basic Beauty course offered by Biocare Academy- Make-Up is a course that targets those who have no previous experience in beauty. This course will give a sound fundamental basic foundation in beauty , a prerequisite to become a professional makeup artist . It is also ideal for individuals who want to gain the fundamental skills and knowledge in basic beauty procedures .

The course will be provided in six convienient sessions covering:

1. The importance of facial cleansing and mantaining healthy skin.
2. Eyelash and eyebrow tinting.
3. Manicure
4. Pedicure
5. Hair Grooming
6. Hair Blow dry

The students learn step-by-step basic beauty procedures. Once the students establish the basics centered on base makeup, they will be able to integrate the fundamental basic knowledge & techniques in attaining a particular look.

MKU002 - Induction Make-Up Course

Do you have a passion for make-up? Are you considering to pursue a career in make-up? You have no previous experience but your dream is to become a professional in make-up?... Then this is the course to embark and be exposed to make-up artistry. This is your first step to becoming an accomplished make up artist, providing comprehensive training from bridal to beauty make-up. Our talented trainers at Biocare Academy-Make Up will share their skills, knowledge and techniques in achieving an excellent result in the art of make-up application.

This course is also ideal for shop owners and their staff together with other professionals such as beauty therapists ,hairdressers and nail technicians who want to enhance their services and boost their sales in make-up or for those who simply want to update and enhance their skills. In this course the student will be taught the skills and techniques required in applying simple everyday make-up, to make-up application for Weddings & Special Occasions.

The areas covered in the Induction Make-Up course are:

1. Complexion- the students are exposed to different tools, products & techniques to accomplish long-lasting , natural looking , good coverage make-up for different types of complexions.
2. Eyes- the students will be taught how to enhance and define the shape of the eye, corrective eye make-up, together with eyebrow shaping and Colour Harmony.
3. Eyes & Lips- the students will learn eyeshadow application. How to use the tools and techniques in blending & shading. Lip Correction , long lasting effect and different application techniques for various particular effects.
4. Wedding Make-up- the trainer will focus on how to build effective communication with the bride and how to achieve long lasting, natural looking , photographic make-up.
5. Evening Make-Up + 5 minute Make-Up application- our students will get an insight on how to accomplish the latest looks featured in magazines, photoshoots , adverts etc.. They will also be trained to apply make-up and give clients an effective result in just 5 minutes.

NOTE : Certification of Attendance: Awarded by Biocare Academy-Make-Up . MKU003 - Make up for Photography and Media

Are you already a make up artist and would like to further your career in fashion photography? Have you just completed our Intensive make up course or Induction course and would like to further your skills and knowledge in showbiz make-up? Do you already have a basic knowledge in make up and would like to get started as a make up stylist for the media? Then this is the course for you. This course draws you closer to the realities of fashion photography and media make-up.

Biocare Academy-Make-up is proud to present this course with a professional, experienced photographer to give the student the insight required to succeed in this speciality. The student will be doing a make-up for a photo shoot requires the make-up artist to collaborate closely with a photographer. Mutual complicity and understanding are indispensable to create the required atmosphere and the look. Whether working for advertising or fashion, the make-up artist has to have the same aptitudes: to know photographic and lighting equipment so as to take their characteristics and constraints into account in his or her creative work.

Periodic and Ethnic Make-up course can be pursued after completion of the Intensive make up course OR the Induction make- up course. This is the ultimate course for the students who want to extend their knowledge as make-up artists in different fields such as Stage, cinema, the performing arts or theatrical performances. The students will gain a vast insight on skin tones, facial shapes, different eye shapes and the like, alongside the history of many cultures and their visual imageries.

This course will teach you all the tricks and techniques of making the eyelids look bigger, the skin looking darker, the chin more pointed. You will be able to recreate an Asian look, an Egyptian look and various other cultural looks .

and later as the Creative Director , for Alcan Packaging Beauty, the company responsible for the presentations of several packing and boxes for the the world’s best known beauty products.

MKU006 - Automaquillage Module 1

This is the very first Automaquillage that you as a make up artist or as a beginner MUST take to continue level 2 &3.
This 3 day course will also give you a deep insight of colour haromony, product knowledge and training (their uses, their application techniques and the importance of their texture) as well as the importance of the marketing tools that a professional make up artist should have!

During the course Michel will also give you guide lines how to be a successful make up artist and how to boost your business career.

Day 3 - Lips You will learn the detailed application of lip, eyes and complexion make up products. This 3 day course is packed with theoretical information, where Michel Limongi will give you his most esteemed advice as an experienced international make up artist, Module one is also based on training the student to practice, practice and more practice! Several demonstration will be shown while the students are doing practice on their models!

MKU007 - Automaquillage Module 2

The second module takes you to a step further. Now that you already became familiar with product information, the application techniques, colours and textures,
Automaquillage 2 is the stage where you will be taught more knowledge regarding specific professional services that you as a professional make up artist can offer : 3 in 1 wedding make up, make up for women with glasses, corrective make up for young and mature women and dramatic make up.

This course entails a detailed application of bridal make up and everything that you need to know about this occasional event (photography, day and night bridal make up) You will also be shown and practice a detailed application of women wearing glasses , make up on mature skin, and the simplicity of creating the fresh look.

Michel Limongi will be showing you ways and techniques how you can offer these services the best way you can in order to build trust and a good relationship with you customer!

MKU008 - Automaquillage Module 3

The third module of Automaquillage is the third stage that leads the make up artist to gain more precision in her/ his tecniques. This 3 day course is ideal for those make up artists who would like to extend their field of knowledge and enter in the world of showbiz.
You will be taught how to improve your personal make up skills to further gain success and professionalism. This course, like the other levels will also guide you how to teach your clients to apply make up on themselves and sell them make up in order to improve your sales in return.

You will learn :

• What is photographic make up? Learn the importance of the different photographic lighting, their intensity and how effective they are.
• PRACTICE: Applying make up for B/W photos and you will be able to customise make up for different lighting intensities, play around with volumes and shadows.
• You will also learn the differences of make up application between make up for TV protagonists and Stage Performers
• PRACTICE: You will practice how to play around with the intensity and colours according to what your client’s situation is.
• THEORY : Michel will dedicate the third day to the importance of teaching your clients how to apply make up and feel good about themselves. Undergoing this excercise you will :
  Gain good reputation and improve your turnover.
