ZIP is launched

On the 26th November, Professional Health & Beauty Services Ltd. launched ZIP, a beauty and wellness magazine, at their state-of-the-art premises in Mosta. The directors of PHBS Ltd., Paul Muscat, his wife Phyllis and their son John were present while contributors, advertisers, beauticians and other guests connected in some way to the company, attended the launch and the reception that followed.

To make this project possible, PHBS partnered with Active Enterprises Co.Ltd who together with Director & Head of Marketing Kevin Naudi, Designer Matthew Cassar and the rest of the Active team helped put together a top drawer magazine. Articles and photos were co-ordinated by Roberta Bugeja who is marketing co-ordinator for PHBS along with guest editor Marie Benoît.

ZIP is aimed at the beauty and wellness industry and destined for a target audience and a niche readership and will be distributed to the doorstep of approximately 4000 professionals who have a direct interest in this business. The articles in ZIP have been commissioned and selected with the reader very much in mind. Authors on various subjects were specifically chosen for their expertise and knowledge.

ZIP is not about beauty, it is not about teaching the hair dresser how to cut hair, the skin therapist how to heal skin conditions or the makeup artists how to smudge the eye-shadow....ZIP is literally the meaning of THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX, ....it tells you, our audience the importance of merchandising, how to tackle certain legal issues concerning their businesses, and most importantly how to take care of themselves and work healthily.

ZIP takes the health and beauty professional a step aside, the reader is put at observation point. This magazine is there to make the professional move away from the daily duties and responsibilities and be able to observe contemplate and refresh their minds with new ideas, with what should be done and not what should have been done.

This is only the first issue of ZIP and we don’t have intentions to stop here. Watch out for the new Zip coming out in March 2011. We have a lot of exciting ideas for the future Zips...
