What do Canadian, Australian, and UK nonprofits need to apply for Facebook's Fundraising Tools without banking info?

There are a number of documents and pieces of info you’ll need to complete the application for Facebook’s Fundraising Tools.

Required info and material
Note: Only the admin for your nonprofit’s Facebook Page can complete and submit the applications. Incomplete applications can’t be saved. If you have to stop before you finish, then you’ll need to start over when you come back.
Category, standing, and Page
  • Good standing with your registry: Before you start the application, check that your nonprofit is registerd with the required registry for your region. Learn more about nonprofit registries.
  • Know your category: The type of work your organization does or supports. Example: The World Wildlife Federation would be in the “Environmental” category.
  • Have a Facebook Page: Your organization must have an active Page on Facebook.
Info about your organization
You’ll have to provide your organization’s:
  • Name
  • Address
  • Contact info, like a telephone number
  • Tax ID number
Business verification document
You’ll have to upload a document that verifies the info you gave about your organization.
Note: The document must have your organization’s name and address on it. It must be in PDF form.
Types of documents you can submit:
  • Utility bill
  • Business license. Must be current and issued by the government.
  • Tax filing for the previous tax year. Example: If you’re applying in 2021, then your document must be from 2020.
  • Certificate of formation. Must be from the last 50 years
Charity status document
We’ll need you to send a document that verified your organization’s charity status.
Document must:
  • Be a PDF.
  • Be an official document. Documents issued by your organization are not acceptable.
  • Show that your organization is legally authorized to run as a nonprofit.
Info about your CEO or highest ranking offical
You’ll need to provide some info about your organization’s CEO or highest ranking official.
  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Address
